betchadupa have just released their debut album and have finished a recent tour and appearance at the 2002 Big Day Out.
betchadupa have been making quite an impression on the New Zealand music scene for a while now. Named the Top New Act of the 2001 NZ Music Awards. They have supported a number of big acts including The Dandy Warhols, Ash, The Living End and Regurgitator. Their first appearance at the Big Day Out in 2000 was to open the main stage, and they have toured New Zealand with local live acts Fur Patrol, D-Super and Garageland.
Last January betchadupa released their second EP 'The 3D' EP which came complete with 3D eyewear! It reached # 32 on the New Zealand charts and was released in Australia on the Sputnik label.
